Evan's Blog

I am Evan Giltman, and I am one of the members of the Hero Project, a service learning group that I joined recently after leaving my previous group.  Our goal is to be able to volunteer at the veteran hospital in Long Beach.  The reason that we want to help the veterans is that we consider ourselves "patriotic", and these veterans risk their lives, and in this case also get injured from protecting what we are able to do back home in America.  These veterans risk everything for us, and we would love to help give back to the veteran community in any way that we possibly can.  We feel that the service learning program is perfect for our goal, as we are given a specific time period where we can focus on helping these heroes, and keep our minds off of our school work during this dedicated time period.
